Raw 08.04.2024
Whoo-hoo! The RadiantGame Team is now in our city — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! The Wells Fargo Center is the perfect place to launch a new era in WWE. We kick things off with fresh champions, broken empires, and intense conflicts boiling over. The first Raw after such a colossal event like WrestleMania must be red-hot — and tonight will show us the first signs of how this year will unfold. I'm confident we won’t be disappointed. Let’s dive into it!
Paul Levesque Introduces a New Era
How else could this night begin if not with the most important man in WWE today — Triple H — making huge announcements? "Thank you Hunter!" — the crowd never lies. People truly stand for Paul and everything he's built. As I expected, Triple H introduced us to the New Era, and the man who will lead us into it — Cody Rhodes.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Triple H is coming with us into new Era of WWE.
Actually, I have a few questions here... Shouldn’t Cody be introduced on SmackDown? Isn’t the main champion on Raw now Damian Priest? Okay, let's park that opinion for now and just cheer for the man who finally completed his story. Probably, he will tell us what’s next.
And as expected — people chant: "You deserve it!" Paul also presented an emotional video about Cody’s success — showing his journey across nearly two years and his past to this historic moment. It made Cody cry... and I’m sure every “Cody crying babies” were celebrating tonight! Cody and the crowd shared a beautiful moment, cheering him as the new Universal Champion. And, like a true classic babyface, he thanked everyone for this success.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Cody is extremely proud of himself that finally he finished his story.
What felt especially honest from Cody was his acknowledgment of Roman Reigns' greatness — calling him the most important superstar of this generation. The crowd even chanted: "Thank you Roman!". Of course, you have to thank your Tribal Chief, who made wrestling great again and led WWE to the incredible heights we’re standing at today.
Cody looked very confident, promising he would not be a transitional champion — he’s here to stay for a long time. But someone had a different perspective to share...
The Final Boss. The People’s Champion. The Rock is here — and he’s got unfinished business. Remember: The Rock already owns a major achievement over Cody — he pinned him on WrestleMania Night 1 during the tag team match. Could he be Cody’s first major challenger? Could he end this title reign before it even begins? This moment felt undeniably electrifying. The crowd, however, wanted to humiliate The Rock — chanting all kinds of trash at him!
Raw 08.04.2024 - The Final Boss has something in his mind to share with WWE Universe.
First, The Rock — never one to hold back — congratulated Cody... before swiftly insulting Philadelphia, calling it "the greatest gathering of trash!" (When The Final Boss talks trash, he talks it deep, confident, and vicious.) Rock didn’t stop there. He made painful and powerful statements about Cody, his victory, and even his family — not sparing a single jab. Then came a bold proposition: The Rock wants Cody’s title. And Cody, naturally, wants the People’s Championship in return. Two legendary individuals exchanged their titles for a moment — an iconic visual. But that wasn’t all.
The Rock had a major announcement: He has to step away for a while — but he loves professional wrestling. And when he returns, whether Cody is still champion or not... he’s coming for him. His story with Roman Reigns may be over, but the saga with Cody Rhodes has just begun. In the end, The Rock asked Cody to never "break his heart" again — and gave him a special gift. Something deeply meaningful to both men... likely a piece of Roman’s tribal necklace. The mind games continue, and war is inevitable.
What an emotional, electrifying, and impressive start to the New Era of WWE!
NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
What a great way to kick off the night — a hard-hitting battle between two unique warriors! The King of Strong Style faced the Russian striker from Moscow. I've been waiting a long time to see Ilja Dragunov on the main roster, and tonight felt like it could be his true debut.
Shinsuke Nakamura, unfortunately, had a pretty weak year, without achieving much. Meanwhile, Ilja looked absolutely spectacular. His style reminds me a lot of Tyler Bate — both in physique and fighting spirit. I was honestly impressed that Nakamura fought with so much heart, pushing himself to show everything he’s capable of, testing the NXT Champion brutally.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Torpedo Moscow is quite impressive but dangerouse move.
The match ended with the devastating Torpedo Moscow — a diving, flying headbutt that crushed Nakamura. A great victory for the rising star! Sad to say, though, Shinsuke starts the New Era with another loss. I really hope he finds his way and gets a real chance in this new timeline.
The Judgment Day Celebration
Time to party — Judgment Day style! Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio were out, celebrating their champions.
First up, Rhea Ripley, who successfully defeated Becky Lynch two days ago to retain her title. Rhea was full of confidence, seeing no threat to her reign anytime soon. Then came our new World Heavyweight Champion — Damian Priest — stepping out with a new theme song that sounded dark, creepy, and brutal. This man just made a massive leap forward in his career. Standing tall alongside his crew... could Judgment Day be evolving into Bloodline 2.0? The crowd acknowledged Priest with loud "You deserve it!" chants — a cool and fitting moment.
Raw 08.04.2024 - The Judgment Day is now holding two most important titles.
Of course, no Judgment Day segment could be complete without the one and only R-Truth showing up! 😄 He claimed he brought the Tag Team Titles back to Judgment Day — still hilariously believing he's part of the group. This guy always makes my day — he’s simply incredible. Finn had a "brilliant" idea: he proposed that the new Tag Team Champions defend their titles.
Raw 08.04.2024 - R-Truth is honorable man and he brings titles back to family.
But R-Truth had an even better idea: Judgment Day vs. Awesome Truth and the guy nobody can see. (Yeah, you know exactly who he’s talking about! 😉) Sadly, before anything could officially happen, Judgment Day attacked the champions, trying to shut down this dream match idea before it could even begin.
Judgment Day vs. Awesome Truth (with a Hidden Surprise!)
Since we couldn’t see their partner yet, the match started as a handicap battle, putting Awesome Truth at a big disadvantage. Early on, things looked rough for R-Truth — but when he finally tagged in The Miz, the tide turned fast! Miz cleared the house with furious energy. Still, the numbers game started to weigh heavy again, and it felt like Judgment Day might overwhelm them.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Most intense moment when someone prevent you from giving tag to to your homie.
But just when it seemed like everything was crashing down... He appeared! John Cena — the man nobody can see — officially entered the match! Cena tagged in and punished JD McDonagh and together with his allies executed full GOAT-level energy combo on all thier opponents:
-
Triple Five Knuckle Shuffles
-
Triple Attitude Adjustments
-
Triple victorious pinfall to seal the win!
Raw 08.04.2024 - Triple Attitude Adjustment I have never seen before.
It was funny, intense, and so cool to see John Cena back in action! Miz, Truth, and Cena standing together again on one ring — just like the good old days of 2012–2015. Pure nostalgia hitting straight into my chest.
A New Contender for Mami?
Backstage, Rhea Ripley gave strict orders to Dirty Dom: he must handle Andrade. But at the same time — out of nowhere — Liv Morgan attacked Mami with a steel chair from behind! Could this be the start of a new rivalry? It looks like a new challenger is stepping up to make things personal with Rhea.
Indi Hartwell vs. NXT Champion Roxanne Perez
Wow — tonight is just full of surprises! Another incredibly beautiful and talented girl from NXT arrived to show herself in front of the big audience, right here on the first Raw of the New Era. I think Indi Hartwell seriously underestimated her opponent because of the size difference. But hey — if size mattered, Roxanne Perez wouldn't be NXT Champion in the first place!
Perez showed a shocking level of aggression and a seriously bad attitude toward Indi. Indi tried using her size and strength advantage, and even Candice LeRae got involved at one point, buying some precious time for her friend. But once again, Indi tried to play fair — and once again, she paid the price. Perez attacked Indi's eyes and landed the final blow to secure the win.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Roxanne is able to use hair finishing move even on a way bigger opponents.
I really respect Indi’s fair play attitude, but come on — She’s not going to win matches cleanly if her opponents are willing to fight dirty and she's not ready to respond. Another tough loss for Indi... Maybe it’s finally time for her to change her strategy if she truly wants to thrive in this cutthroat new era.
Ultimate Underdog's Great Celebration
At WrestleMania, Sami Zayn made history by defeating the dominant Ring General, becoming the new Intercontinental Champion! Sami looked so proud of what he accomplished — and honestly, I respect him deeply for the heart and passion he put into it.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Imperium invasion to deal with new Intercontinental champion Sami Zayn.
Zayn even admitted that Gunther created an incredible legacy and called him the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. It was touching to see everyone acknowledge the previous champions and their reigns tonight. I truly appreciated that moment — it showed real respect for history.
Sami was about to thank all the people who supported him... when Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci decided to crash the celebration. As usual, Kaiser ran his mouth, talking trash about the fans and trying to provoke Sami into a fight. I’m honestly not sure it’s a smart move for Gunther’s associates to poke the bear like that — especially when the new champion has backup.
Raw 08.04.2024 - We are settle for a next battle for respect.
Because guess who came out to even the odds? Chad Gable! And of course — that could only mean one thing: a match is happening right now!
Sami Zayn(C) & Chad Gable vs. Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci
Honestly, I had doubts about who should win tonight. But let's face it — even if Kaiser and Vinci lose, they can still soften up the champion and get him “Gunther-ready,” assuming the Ring General wants his title back.As usual, Kaiser delivered some of that German elegance and discipline, showing off beautiful wrestling technique. Sami Zayn, riding the high from WrestleMania, was feeling absolutely untouchable — until a cheap shot from Kaiser turned the tide.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Gable is not tallest man in WWE but undeniably he is very impactful in ring.
But the European dominance didn’t last long. Chad Gable was fired up, storming in to clean house and nearly pin Vinci with a Diving Headbutt! The match got more and more brutal. Gable and Sami began dishing out German Suplexes left and right, halting their opponents’ momentum. Zayn landed a Helluva Kick on Vinci and tagged Gable in for the Chaos Theory to seal the victory. Big win for the good guys.
But let’s be real — I don’t think Gable is here just because he’s friends with Sami. That Intercontinental Title is looking mighty shiny, and Gable's real intentions might reveal themselves soon enough.
Chelsea Got Her “Special Moment”…
Backstage, we saw all three general managers — Raw, SmackDown, and NXT — reflecting proudly on WrestleMania’s success.
But not everyone was feeling proud. Cue Chelsea Green.
She was furious she wasn’t included in the biggest show of the year and demanded an opportunity. Adam Pearce, ever the troll, said she’d get a match right now with a worthy opponent to let her “shine like the sun.” Umm... Chelsea, if I were you, I’d be worried. That sounded more like a trap than a promise. 😬
True Shining Storm
Yep. My worst suspicions came true. Adam Pearce had something brutal lined up — Jade Cargill. The match didn’t even really start. Chelsea Green looked horrified, and Jade wasted zero time, crushing her with a Bicycle Kick and finishing her off with the Jaded. Short, sharp, and savage.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Green was Jaded by shinig Storm. No chances.
Not quite the spotlight Chelsea was hoping for — but it sure made Jade Cargill look like a megastar.
Fatal Four-Way – World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Match
Time for the main event — a huge four-way to decide who will challenge Damian Priest next. I get why Drew and Jey are in this match. Even Reed, after winning the battle royal, makes sense. But… Ricochet? Not sure how he got in here, but hey — anything can happen in the New Era.
Raw 08.04.2024 - I do rally like the expression of Ricochet. Do you like it as well ? :)
Drew McIntyre entered first, still fuming after his WrestleMania loss. He took the mic to vent his frustration but did so with class, actually thanking Seth Rollins for their match and the moment they shared. Still, Drew promised to take the title off Priest, calling him a “transitional champion.” He also pointed out that twice he lost the title due to the Money in the Bank briefcase. (And of course, he threw some heat at CM Punk, blaming him for screwing everything up.) But let’s be honest, Drew — you poked the bear. What did you expect from The Best in the World?
Raw 08.04.2024 - The OMG moment of the evening. 450 Splash on commentary table by Ricochet!
Anyway, that was enough talk — Jey Uso interrupted, and chaos erupted! Jey had ribs taped up after his nasty fall off the ramp last night. Not a great look heading into a brutal match.
Early on, Bronson Reed dominated, even Power Slamming Jey through a table — pure destruction. Reed was on a roll, taking down everyone like a wrecking ball. And Ricochet? Poor guy got tossed around like a ragdoll. But then came a major highlight — Drew hit a Michinoku Driver on Reed. Let that sink in… Drew McIntyre picked up Bronson Reed and slammed him. Pure power. Just as Drew was taking control, all three opponents landed a Triple Superkick on him to slow the Scottish beast down.
Now let’s give Reed some love — he absolutely stood out in this match. Constant pressure, big man agility, and punishment everywhere. I actually thought Ricochet might steal the win near the end. It was just him and Jey in the ring — Jey was hurt, and Ricochet could’ve used the Recoil for a shocking win. But no — Ricochet wanted to create an OMG WrestleMania Raw moment instead. He hit a 450 Splash from over the ropes, taking himself and Reed out through the announce table!
Raw 08.04.2024 - Jey Uso deliver Spear to a Scottish Warrior! A huge opener for YEET Boy.
Now it was down to Drew and Jey. Drew landed a Future Shock DDT and lined up the Claymore... But then — CM Punk showed up. He grabbed Drew’s leg from the outside, giving Jey just the opening he needed. SUPERKICK! SPEAR! SAMOAN SPLASH! 1... 2... 3 — Jey Uso wins and is now the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship!
YEET! 🔥🔥🔥 That’s how you end Raw!
Final thoughts
🔥 Cody Rhodes – The American Nightmare Era Begins
Cody Rhodes is finally our top guy, and with that, a new era begins. He fulfilled his destiny, but now the big question is: what will his reign look like? Roman Reigns spent years building an empire, trying to control every title and elevate his family. Cody? He might just defend the belt endlessly against challengers who can't beat him. Luckily, The Final Boss is keeping things interesting. The Rock adds fire to any segment he's in, and while he's leaving for now, I guarantee he'll return. Don’t forget—he pinned Cody. When that moment comes, this reign could get a whole lot more exciting
Raw 08.04.2024 - The Rock is a Universal Champion? Looks good on his shoulder right? Possible soon?
💥 Nakamura – Still Got It?
Shinsuke Nakamura lost again… and sadly, I feel like he’s heading down the same road as AJ Styles. Once a top-tier name, now he’s fading into the background. But you know what? I still believe in The King of Strong Style. He’s been putting new talent over, sure—but I’m convinced he still has something special left in him. Hopefully, we’ll see that spark return soon.
🎉 Judgment Day Celebration... Crashed
Judgment Day's big moment got awkward when R-Truth and The Miz crashed the party. I don’t understand why Damian Priest wouldn’t let Ron join the group—he’s been more loyal than some of the actual members! At least all this chaos gave us John Cena, and what a moment that was. A great win for the new tag champs. Hopefully, we’ll see more of Cena soon, because he still has it.
Raw 08.04.2024 - You can't see still John Cena. I hope he will participate in WWE more often.
🤨 Indi Hartwell – Change the Mindset
If you’re strong, you don’t need cheap tricks. Just ask Cody or Randy Orton. Indi Hartwell has potential, but her attitude needs a serious reset. She should take a few notes from Candice LeRae, who’s been doing things the right way. If Indi adapts, maybe she’ll finally find her own success.
Raw 08.04.2024 - What do you think about Roxxy? Very sweet and attractive girl right?
🧠 Gunther’s Men Target Sami Zayn
Totally expected—Kaiser and Vinci crashed Sami Zayn’s victory lap. But can they actually take him down? Right now, Sami is on fire. In a fair fight, I don’t think anyone can stop him. The tag match tonight was full of technical brilliance. It’s refreshing to see that European style showcased like that. And now, next week, Sami is giving Chad Gable a title shot as thanks. A bold and honorable move. Let’s see how that goes
😂 Chelsea Green – Spotlight or Set-Up?
Chelsea Green is one of a kind: charismatic, gorgeous, and yes—talented. But tonight? Adam Pearce played her like a joke by sending her straight into Jade Cargill’s path. We all knew Chelsea had no chance. Still, I hope she finds her way soon, because there’s real star power in her. As for Jade? Time to move on to bigger, better competition.
🥊 Fatal 4-Way – Jey Stands Tall
Short but explosive—that's how I’d sum up the Fatal Four-Way. Four very different competitors, all with unique styles. It was clear Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso were the real threats here. But Drew ran his mouth a bit too much lately, and that drew the wrath of CM Punk. Looks like those two are on a crash course. Meanwhile, YEET Boy Jey Uso got the win, and maybe—just maybe—he’s ready to prove he can be a top champion without the Bloodline behind him.
Raw 08.04.2024 - Seems to me that Punk gladly makes allies with everyone who against Drew McIntyre.
Bronson Reed was a wrecking machine tonight. His time will come, no doubt. But Ricochet? I haven’t seen much upward movement from him since losing the IC Title. Great moments, cool spots—but no big wins. Maybe it’s time to ask the hard question: is Ricochet’s time in WWE winding down?
That’s all for tonight, folks! Raw was filled with energy, surprises, and meaningful moments. We’ve got comebacks, new rivalries, and strong momentum heading into the next phase. See you all on SmackDown, where something special is definitely brewing. Stay tuned—and YEET!
